Where's My Refund? tools

Where's my refund?

The best way for taxpayers to check the status of their federal refund is to use the Where's My Refund? tool, found at https://www.irs.gov/refunds. This tool gives taxpayers access to their tax return and refund status at any time.

All you need is internet access and three pieces of information: your Social Security number, your filing status, and  the  exact  whole  dollar  amount  of  your  refund.  If  PPG  Partners  prepares  your  tax  return,  this  refund amount will be listed on the letter we send you with your tax return.
