Racine County Sales Tax

Sales Tax

In October 2024, the Racine County Board of Supervisors voted to implement a 0.5% sales tax. The extra tax will go into effect in April 2025 and is expected to generate around $20 million for the county each year after it begins.

Wisconsin has a statewide sales tax of 5%. Nearly every county across the state now has a 0.5% sales tax on top of the state sales tax.
