IRS sounds alarm on misleading social media claims

social media bad advice scams

The IRS is concerned with the misinformation being distributed online – and we are, too. Be wary of posts and "advice" from friends who may have been given wrong information. You might even see false targeted ads from "companies" who will claim to get you a large amount of money (after you pay them) and then they will disappear. If it seems too good to be true, it very well might be.
